Fundraising

In addition to course fees which cover the running costs, TS Rebel – a registered charity - needs to raise extra funds to:

• cover the maintenance and repairs encountered during the sailing season plus the annual refit
• keep all safety equipment up to spec.
• train volunteer staff
• keep the operation fully accredited and insured
• prepare for planned capital equipment replacements.

TS Rebel runs a number of fund raising events throughout the year including the TS Rebel Challenge Yacht Race and the Annual Rebel Dinner. However it also welcomes donations which could include:

• individual donations
• corporate sponsorship – It costs £149 to send a cadet on a five day course, offering young people a life changing opportunity. Sponsoring a cadet can also help businesses meet their CSR objectives
• assistance in kind – This could include yachts, foul weather clothing, safety equipment, transport, paint, ropes, sails, electronics, annual servicing, surveys etc.
